July 25, 2012: Dr. Miklos Toth, a faculty member in The Pharmacology Department, was an invited speaker in the Spring Meeting of the National Scientific Council on the Developing Child held on June 18-20 in San Francisco. The Council is a multi-university collaboration designed to close the gap between the science of early childhood and early brain development and public decision-making on promoting physical and mental health for young children. Dr. Toth talked about current research in his lab focusing on the role of maternal environmental factors on the development and behavior of the offspring across multiple generations. He focused on his new research on epigenetic changes in the brain induced by stress.
