For being a pioneer in uncovering genetic causes for diverse forms of blood cancers and utilizing this information to develop therapeutic approaches to transform clinical care. His laboratory has made pivotal insights into BTK inhibitor resistance mechanisms and the role of RNA splicing factor mutations in leukemogenesis.
